Yoga Poses:




Fish Pose (Matsyasana)

· Begin by lying on your back with your legs extended.

· Place your hands, palms down, underneath your hips.

· Pressing into your forearms, lift your chest and upper body, arching your back.

· Tilt your head back so that the crown of your head rests lightly on the floor.

· Breathe deeply, focusing on expanding the chest and throat area.

· Hold the pose for 15-30 seconds, gradually increasing the duration with practice.

· To release, gently lower your upper body back to the floor.

Camel Pose (Ustrasana)

· Begin by kneeling on the mat with your knees hip-width apart.

· Tuck your toes and place your hands on your lower back, fingers pointing down.

· Inhale, lifting your chest towards the ceiling and arching your back.

· If comfortable, reach your hands back to grasp your heels.

· Drop your head back, opening your throat and maintaining a steady breath.

· Hold the pose for 15-30 seconds, gradually extending the duration as you become more comfortable.

· To release, bring your hands back to your lower back and slowly sit back on your heels.


Benefits: Camel Pose is a deep heart opener that stretches the entire front of the body, including the throat. It encourages the release of tension in the neck and promotes emotional expression.




Shoulder Stand (Sarvangasana)

· Lie on your back and lift your legs overhead, supporting your lower back with your hands.

· Straighten your legs and lift them towards the ceiling.

· Press your hands into your lower back, lifting your hips and legs higher.

· Bring your hands to your lower back for support, keeping your elbows on the mat.

· Straighten your spine, bringing your chin towards your chest, and gaze at your toes.

· Breathe deeply and hold the pose for 30 seconds to 1 minute.

· To release, slowly lower your legs back down to the mat.


Benefits: Shoulder Stand stimulates the throat chakra by reversing blood flow in the body. It encourages self-expression and can help alleviate tension in the neck and shoulders.
